see the person beside me? that’s the one i’d want to grow old with. he’s kinda wacky, alright, but he’s damn serious whenever he feels it’s necessary.
ken was here for a while and it was great having him around, being re-oriented to how my life is like in cdo. all i can say is that he’s fitting in pretty good.

My birthday? i celebrated the way i planned… in the morning, i had a small “pa-libre” with the very cute and very kulit preschoolers at the kid’s place (it’s this small school our church opened for the neighborhood kids, especially those who cannot really afford to send their kids to school, so if you are interested to lend a hand, visit us at the UCCP- Macasandig church, Cagayan de Oro city)… it was really fulfilling and it was such a bummer that my cam went BATTERY EMPTY, and was not able to get pics.. but even so, the experience was priceless! And then i had dinner with my family, and had a little gathering with few of my closest friends at the house. thanks for the greeters, by the way.
gifts? not much, but not complaining also. i’m just happy that the Lord has added another year to my life. Ken gave me Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None”, a rare find and the book i’ve been looking for since the 6th grade (for my 6-Rizal classmates, remember the play our group performed in class.. it was damn brutal for our age, and though it did not make it for the inter-section competition, we ALL were a part of the bigger production– the coalition of all 3 plays!!!! that was way cool!). Bessie and Kuya gave me a yellow Care Bear (and paeng had no clue what made it really special!)… thanks guys!!!

bits and pieces July 6, 2005
Once upon a time, the lands in the East were noted for their mystery and how their ways bring us back to the days of old. However, one can’t help but be struck with this amazing blend of old meets new and co-exist in a picture-perfect scape, that is ASIA.
Do read TIME Asia’s July 4, 2005 edition showcasing the Best of Asia— places you never dream of existing, and places often taken for granted by many. One of those worth mentioning is the Dhoni Mighili in the Maldives. an exclusive resort with excquisite white sand beaches and breathtaking views, not to mention, accomodation worth the splurge! A definite alternative for our very own Amanpulo.
More bits and pieces:
i’ve been bumming around for the last couple of weeks, killing time watching vcds and dvds and reruns of american talk shows. i should be out there acting on my “idealism” or writing something OR reviewing for the board exam (as if!).. but really, when you’re not home, you’re bound to spend on every move you make. i’m a bit devastated because i have not quite accomplished those requirements for the PRC. and to make things worse, i am paying for nothing. still, i manage.
i’ve been around the net reading other blogs (i DO read blogs, so keep on writing them!) and it’s fascinating to note that some people pour their hearts out in discrete fashion. it’s a whole new level of revelation, and yet keeping a part of oneself apart from others.
and i’m not even going to mention a syllable on Philippine politics
